Just watching with wide eyes as his puppet self come to life on it’s own (even though Yin-yarn said it’s a lifeless creation) and behaving as such simply baffled the real Taranza, to the point it nearly frightened him. This must be this “spectacular” things the sorcerer have mentioned before that he chose to ignore, now he floated there in a stupor that he actually meant it seriously.
You are more speechless now I see.. are you not used to gazing into a mirror? Take a good look at yourself! I have made sure to pin down this puppet to the exact detail, from hair to stinger. Perhaps you should be introduced to yourself for the first time?
Yin-Yarn clacked his needles together and watched as the puppet hovered over towards the other Taranza. The puppet had a simple smile on its face, acting as if it was a truly alive version of Taranza. The puppet stuck out one of its six hands on the right side out to Taranza for a handshake, though it’s movement seemed a bit off, as though it was some sort of clockwork mechanism. Its eyes having a slight haze in them, changing from a very mild yellow purple to yellow from time to time.
Perhaps you will find some sort of interest in my work..
"More like not very interested in a conversation sir," he replied in a blunt manner with a tone that hinted his need to have solitary time at the moment, his terrible mood already sinking faster with every second the sorcerer lingered and it’s aggravating the arachnid.
"…Wait what?" A puppet of himself? He looked over to the sorcerer again since before tossing the spool to him to see him playing with the puppets of himself and Kirby, unsure what to say at this point.
Not interested in the conversation you say? Oh.. that is a shame! Here I was just having some fun with you.. and another you! Well, a puppet you.. this lifeless creation of mine.. my yarn has some grand effects. It has your identity, your looks.. it is practically as if I have you right here in my needles!
Yin-Yarn continued to play with the Taranza puppet, it’s eyes flashed a yellow and purple before returning to its normal look again. Yin-Yarn unhooked the puppet off of his needle and watched as it floated around on its own, bowing and acting noble.
Quite interesting I would say.. wouldn’t you?
"Close." That was Taranza’s immediately response to the first statement the yarn sorcerer made, however right after that he visibly appears to be irritated in the little drama act. Mentally noting for an act like that to be taken to theatre stage or plays, not here where he finds it nothing more than a mockery.
"Greetings Yin-Yarn, it is a pleasure to meet you. I am Sir Taranza of Royal Road." And he ignored everything else the other added, all he wanted was a name and that’s that.
Yin-Yarn had his right eye widened a bit out of curiosity and suspicion, the other seemed to be a bit pompous, though in reality Yin-Yarn had been a lot like that too, a bit hypocritical.
A boy of few words aren’t you? Do you always keep yourself on the concealed side like this? At least you were.. “noble” enough to give me your title, I suppose. It gives me a new puppet to play with when I want to have a little roleplaying.
Yin-Yarn quickly knitted up together a life-sized model of Taranza and hooked it onto the end of his right needle, and knitted up a life-sized model of Kirby and hooked it onto the end of the other needle, making them both act like marionettes. He chuckled to himself as he made both puppets talk to each other.
Taranza.. I will have to remember that name, a puppet with your identity needs it after all. You are quite the character, I must admit..
"Hm, I’m very familiar with formality since my youth given my position in class and previous occupation. Taught more precisely. But enough about me, you still haven’t introduced yourself to me." Taranza acknowledged his claim to be "famous" in Dreamland but decided to ignore it, the sorcerer caught him on a bad time and he barely have any patience for not having a direct answer.
This didn’t make matters many better however. Taranza was focused on his work when the sorcerer’s needle partially obscured his frontal vision and that only irritated him, he fought the strong urge to shove that thing away. “Fascinating.”
Wealthy boy were you? Well now, that is truly something to be happy about, I wasn’t able to partake in such delights.. *Yin-Yarn placed his needle over his forehead, looking distressed in an act* Oh woe is me.. I was the one who was abandoned and forgotten for such a long time.. but you would not know of such misery would you..?
Yin-Yarn nodded and chuckled, he supposed it was time to give an answer, though of course he was going to let that drag on.
Ahh yes well, where are my manners, eh? I am Yin-Yarn, the stringed magician and overseer of all things yarn! I can weave things only though possible in dreams and make any extraordinary sight come to life before your very eyes using only my needles and some thread. Wonderful things.. hmm..
"…Pardon?" The way the yarn sorceror referred to him as such came across to the arachnid as a red flag, or did the other mean it genuinely? Unfortunately, he doesn’t trust anyone and became slightly suspicious of the yarn character, though appearing to hide it behind the blank look he gave to the sorcerer.
"It’s merely a hobby I do to pass time I suppose, but sometimes I weave to keep my natural skills in touch. I am a spider after all." He paused in his speech but continued on weaving the thread without much thought to what the outcome he intended it to be. "Forgive me though, I didn’t catch your name sir."
Ahh, I was merely mentioning my first thought on the way you present yourself.. formality seems to be something you hold dear when it comes to explaining yourself, which I find interesting.
Yin-Yarn kept his big grin spread across his face, curving around the edges a bit as he continued talking to this “Spider-Mage”. While Yin-Yarn may have been no good by any physical means, mental manipulation was one of his favorites.
You do not know of me? I am surprised you haven’t seen my face on any.. posters.. in your travels to Dream Land. I am famous there you know. *Yin-Yarn waved his left needle in front of Taranza’s face a bit, showing it off with its bright yellow eyes* These needles can perform spectacular things with any sort of stringy material imaginable. Why, I could show you much! Yes.. much indeed!
The mage was busy fumbling with a different spool of thread that is obviously his, just about to begin weaving again but stopped and gave the sorcerer the subtle look of ‘are you serious?’ and confusion mixed with it.
"Uh… Why would I be interested in such unnecessary and pointless action? I do not know you and therefore will not intend in said activities, and besides bringing trouble to others is not a characteristic I possess. As for your first question, I’m merely an arachnid, a spider more specifically."
Yin-Yarn shook his head, by the vocabulary and tone, he knew exactly what kind of person this was. Unfortunately, he knew nothing of the others background, but deemed it as not being worth his time to figure out too much of it just yet.
Mmm.. pretentious, but I encourage that sort of behavior! *Yin-Yarn floated behind Taranza and place his right needle on the others shoulder.* You seem like an interesting piece of work.. tell me, what sort of interest do you have in weaving?
*paused from the weaving* Oh it’s yours? I apologize for my ignorance, take it as you will sir *just throws the dang thing to the sorcerer* Forgive me but I’m in a terrible mood.
He gave a confused look towards the Spider character, there was someone else who would actually treat him with respect? He opened his eyes wide and started to fumble with the yarn for a second, being caught off guard in his own thoughts. He twirled the yarn around his needle and put it back in his cloak.
"Eh..? You are an interesting creature.. you don’t look like a puffball to me. That would explain the proper manners.. but uhh, what are you exactly..? Are you here to cause me trouble of any sort..?"
this is for you my beautiful peace of yarn~ yin-yarn
..Do you other people honestly not see as to why I wish to rid the world of puffballs now..? These creatures are abominations!
“Who thought this was going to be a good idea!? Now I have to lift up this hat for an.. *pant* eternity! *huffs*”
